Nolan and I recently had the opportunity to host a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate, thanks to MomSelect and Disney Parks. He couldn’t have been more excited for his “Jake Party”, given his love for the friendly pirate and his crew! 🙂
Our entire family had fun the night before our playdate getting ready for the activities. We had a “Dress Like a Pirate” area, complete with super fun and easy do-it-yourself Captain Hook hooks!
We had lots of coloring pages from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and other Disney Junior favorites like Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny.
My girls (big helpers!) gathered all kinds of toys from around our house featuring Jake, Izzy, Cubby, Scully and Bucky – as well as Hook and his crew – while I fired up our Jake playlist. Songs from Jake and the Neverand Pirates are a staple whenever Nolan and I are in the car. I’m so grateful for modern technology and the ease with which we can get the songs that bring our kiddos such joy! 🙂
No party would be complete without food, of course, and this playdate had no shortage! From Pirate Punch and Pirate’s Booty to goldfish and golden treasure… I even had the perfect excuse to make these adorable pirate ship jello treats! They were, as you may expect, a smash hit!
The next morning, our friends began to arrive! During the party, the littlest preschool pirates had lots of fun free play with piratey things. The biggest success was definitely “Dress Like a Pirate”… because with that came sword fighting. Apparently you don’t have to be very old to realize what fun it is to battle with (foam!) swords! 🙂
The bigger Pirate Siblings enjoyed games of Disney Parks Bingo (with goldfish markers that the little pirates kept trying to eat!) and a Disney Parks Matching Game…
… and EVERYONE enjoyed searching for buried treasure in the Kinetic Sand!
“Where’s my treasure?!”
Thanks to our lovely party sponsors, everyone got to take home lots of fun goodies, too! Mickey Mouse chore charts and Disney luggage tags were a hit. Clif Kids bars and Kellogg’s fruit snacks (along with some gold coins, Jake stickers and other items we purchased) rounded out their loot.
We had an absolute blast (no pun intended), and are already talking about what kind of playdate my older #DisneyKids want to host over Christmas break. Â Thanks so much to the party sponsors (Walt Disney World Resort, MomSelect, Clif, Crunchmaster, Wacky-tivities, MegaBloks, and Kellogg’s) as well as everyone who attended!
If you’re headed to the Walt Disney World resort any time soon, you and your little pirate might also be able to meet Jake! He is often found in the Animation Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as in the hit stage show Disney Jr Live on Stage! Be sure to check the Times Guide upon arrival to the parks for meeting and show times. Â For pirate fans of all ages, after riding Pirates of the Caribbean (of course!) be sure to check out the Pirates League, Pirate Adventure Cruises and, our favorite, the fun – and free! – interactive Pirate Adventure: Treasure of the Seven Seas quest!
I received free products in order to host this #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is SO adorable. I cannot wait until my baby is old enough for something like this! My favorite part – the hooks! That’s genius! Great job.

Isn’t that adorable? I can’t take credit, but they were definitely a big hit!

Very cool. I’ll have to remember this for my son’s birthday next year. Can’t go wrong with Disney related theming.
If you want, add your post to Mickey Monday from my blog. It’s a Disney-centric link up every Monday. I think this would be a good fit (or future posts as well).

Thanks so much for stopping by… we have lots of fun with parties, and it was a good excuse to “plus” a playdate, too! 🙂 I’ll definitely check out your link up, thank you for letting me know!

Cute playdate! I love your ideas especially the hooks! I was hoping my son would have chosen that theme, but he wanted Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Great job!

Thank you! We were willing to do MMC or Jake, but we definitely had a great time with the theme. I can’t wait to see your party recap!
