Our “12 Days of Gift Guides” continues as we get one day closer to Black Friday. I am really passionate about buying quality, thoughtful gifts for the people in your life versus just buying anything and everything that seems like an ok idea (or everything they ask for as the list grows and grows).
Ok, so I polled some of the wise and wonderful men in my life for their thoughts, since I can’t exactly vouch for all of these myself. I’ll add my $0.02 where appropriate, though đ
Under $10
Organize It All Tie/Belt Valet Hanger – If the man you’re shopping for wears ties, this is a must-have. We’ve never tried one of those carousel type tie hangers, but this one has saved a ton of space (and a ton of ties!) in my husband’s closet.
Stuff Every Man Should Know – Sure, my husband and I learned to do car repairs, plumbing, and play musical instruments with youTube tutorials. That’s still a really great option for learning just about anything, but for whatever reason this is still a fun little read. And who knows, maybe the man you know that knows it all will find the one thing he actually didn’t! đ
Swiss Tech 19-in-1 Key Ring Multi-Function Tool – The best selling multitool on Amazon, this one does just about everything. With it on his keychain, he’ll be prepared for anything.
Under $25
Ironclad Heavy Utility Gloves – These gloves are durable, machine washable, and have close (but not too snug) fit to easily maintain dexterity while doing important jobs. And the rest of the jobs.
A cool cookbook – with books that focus on Craft Beer, Bacon, Grilling, and even Potato Chips, you’re bound to find something that is just right for a chef you know!
Under $50
Jensen 3-Speed Turntable – This record player is great for the guy who has shown some interest in checking out classic vinyl sound but is unsure of the commitment required when purchasing an expensive turntable. Consistent positive reviews both from tech authorities and customers, and looks like a great “bang for your buck” purchase.
Sorel Falcon Ridge Slippers – Slippers are great, except that lots of time they look, well, dumb. I think these are pretty sharp, and we love Sorel shoes! Of course, if this isn’t your style you can always go another direction. Like with these Grizzly Bear Paw slippers.
BB-8 Desk Lamp – This aluminum lamp has three colors of light and a dimmer. But none of that matters, just buy it because Star Wars.
Death Star Bluetooth Speaker – See above.
More expensive but worth every penny
Apple Watch & accessories – I’ve reviewed mine on here before, and I know this is a huge splurge. If it’s an appropriate kind of gift for someone on your list though, it would be one of my highest suggestions. My husband and I both love ours, not just for the tech but for the “side effects” of less time on our phones and more time with important people. If the man you’re shopping for has an Apple Watch, check out the additional straps. They change so easily I swap mine out at the gym almost every day.
Custom, personalized glassware – Whether it’s for a bar, a backyard barbecue, or just his favorite drink while watching the game, personalized glasses and pitchers make it (and maybe him, depending on who’s looking ;)) that much cooler.
BONUS TIP: You pretty much can’t go wrong with something from thinkgeek.com.
