Precious Moments Disney Showcase Collection

I was sent the adorable Beauty and the Beast figure, from the Precious Moments Disney Showcase Collection, in exchange for an honest review.

I think my generation was THE generation raised on Precious Moments, right? The local bookstore my mom worked at had them all over the place, half my friends had the “birthday train”, and I can recall at least four families that had a Precious Moments themed Christmas tree.

Given that, I still don’t exactly know how in college, after not having had much to do with Precious Moments for decades, I ended up with a coloring book featuring those sweet kiddos. End up with one I did, though, and at one point I even made my then-fiancé a book out of the coloring pages. (It was a little bit ironic, but mostly I’m a nerd.) At our wedding reception, instead of a cake topper we had this sweet little figurine.

All that said, you may know that I’m actually very minimalistic in nature. I on’t own figurines of any sort except that one from our wedding and one featuring Mickey and Minnie, that my husband gifted me one anniversary we spent on the Disney Wonder.

So when Precious Moments contacted me about their Disney collection, I was actually a little hesitant. I didn’t want to accept a product to review if I wouldn’t keep it. I’m no fan of the Marie Kondo, but I wasn’t sure I saw the point in adding something to my collection that didn’t serve a purpose.

But then you guys? I saw the Disney Showcase Collection. Mary Poppins, Sulley and Boo, Disney babies…

But it was “You are my Fairy Tale Come True” that caught my eye and captured my heart.

Um, that little Beast is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, and little Belle’s dress actually sparkles.

I have to say, if you have anyone in your life for whom a collectible like a Precious Moments figurine is a good gift – or if you just need something to make you smile – you should head over and check out the Precious Moments website. I think you’ll find something on your list… the overall variety is incredible!
