Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Black Loop. Today we are sharing gift ideas for Mother’s Day.
Disclosure: Some of the suggestions may lead to Amazon affiliate links, especially when that is the best option for purchase. Most do not, I just thought they were worth sharing. Thanks for stopping by, and happy gift giving!
It’s that time of year again… I’ve done a little window shopping to find the perfect Mother’s Day gifts for Disney fans!
Admittedly, my family is more the breakfast in bed, help mommy around the house, make a homemade card type – which I totally adore. While these gestures, flowers, chocolates, and spa packages will never be turned away, this year I set out to find some unique gifts that your wife, mom, or other gift recipient in your life might not yet even know she wants! 🙂
- The Magic Kingdom (or Disneyland Park) entrance plaque, $52. You guys, this may be the coolest thing I found this year. Walking under this plaque on either coast is the quintessential “you have arrived” moment, isn’t it? I don’t know what I’d even do with such a thing in my own home – because goodness knows our house doesn’t always feel as magical as a Disney park! – but I think it’s so cool. The same seller also has items from the Tower of Terror and the Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, “Big Thunder Ironworks” and more!
- Disney-inspired Candles, $16. You may have seen this discovery making its way around social media recently, but in case you didn’t – or have forgotten – you can now be whisked away, if only in your mind, to the Flower and Garden Festival, the Main Street Bakery, Soarin’, the Beach Club, or Sunshine Tree Terrace with these awesome scents from Anthology Candles. They even have one called “Rome Burning”… but I’m not sure that’s the one I’d choose for my house. To each their own!
- Alex & Ani Mickey Mouse Filigree Wrap bracelet, $54. Alex & Ani bangles are all the rage around here, and I remember people going nuts when they partnered with Disney to create the seemingly perfect bracelets for Disney fans. They tempt me every time they come out with new ones, but for some of us with ridiculously small wrists, they just don’t wear very well. I did, however, just discover their Mickey Mouse Filigree Wrap. I can’t wait to try the silver one on if I see it in stores on our next trip, because I think it just may become my new favorite bracelet!
- The Sephora Minnie Mouse collection, $15-58. If she likes makeup and loves Minnie, how fun are these compacts brushes, and makeup sets?! Similarly, check out —
- The Lauren Conrad Disney collection at Kohls, $26-37. It’s been a while now since Lauren Conrad kicked off her ever-changing Disney line, featured exclusively at Kohls, but I think it’s as cute as ever! Right now you can get summer dresses, blouses, and tees inspired by Alice in Wonderland, or a whole line of “Minnie Rocks the Dots” clothing.
- American Tourister Disney luggage, $139 (or less right now!). I’ve long been a fan of the adorable Minnie Mouse hard-sided spinner, but did you know American Tourister also has a handful of other Mickey and Minnie designs, and more than a dozen Star Wars suitcases? Most of them come in a variety of sizes, too.
- Alice in Wonderland Pocket Watch Necklace, $11.60 or this incredible Lilo & Stitch dress, $30.80. I know, I know. I can’t tell you the last time I was in a Hot Topic store, but I’m pretty sure it was in a year that began with a 19. There is still plenty on the site and in the store that isn’t suitable for work, but if you quickly click through page after page of Disney stuff (seriously, the amount of really cool things there is staggering!) you’ll find a lot of gems. Some of my favorite, in addition to those two, were an adorable Baymax tee and an Aristocats music dress. They even have merchandise from Oliver and Company!
- Joffrey’s Disney Parks and Resorts coffee flavors, $13.95-19.95. My husband is the coffee drinker in our family, but chances are if anyone drinks the stuff in yours, you’ve seen Joffrey’s at Disney parks and resorts. Joffrey’s actually offers more than TWENTY varieties of coffee that are created just for the Disney company, from the Yachtsman Steakhouse to Napa Rose, the Hollywood Blend to Aulani.
- Gorgeous Vinyl from the Disney Music Emporium, $8.98 and up. If your Disney loving mom or wife is also a music lover, she’ll love these breathtakingly beautiful vinyl records. Also check out one of only two things returning to the list from last year, the Circle Sessions album – featuring the music from the Carthay Circle restaurant in Disney’s California Adventure.
- Poster Art of the Disney Parks, Disney Imagineering, or another lovely coffee table-esque book celebrating Disney Destinations and advancements, prices vary. These are immensely entertaining to look through, and Disney geeks (or nerds, if you prefer) will learn something, too!
Of course, the idea of buying a Dooney & Bourke or Vera Bradley bag for mom might not be that unique, but Disney certainly puts a spin on these beloved designer bags. In addition to expected prints featuring the princesses, Mickey and Minnie, or park anniversaries, you can find lines celebrating The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Force Awakens, the Haunted Mansion wallpaper, the Disney Cruise Line ships, and so many more. It seems like they’re coming out with new ones all the time, so keep an eye on the website…. and your wallet!
And don’t forget… you can always opt for the crystal replica of Cinderella Castle from Arribas Brothers. The miniature one is “only” $6800 (plus tax and hopefully some extremely careful shipping)!
{To my loving family: if you’re considering this… I’ll take a cruise instead. Sincerely, Your ever-grateful Mommy.}
So let me know what you think….. if price weren’t an option, what would top your wish list?

Ok quick story – when I was pregnant with my son, I decided I would do a Magic Kingdom-themed nursery. I searched EVERYWHERE, and I mean everywhere, for that entrance plaque for his door! I eventually got someone to make something custom for me…but man, is that an AWESOME gift!
Great guide. I’ll be sending my husband this way 🙂

Oh, I LOVE that. I would love to see pictures! We have always decorated our kids with subtle Disney themes and sometimes the perfect thing is really hard to find. I’m still waiting on something to fill the last frame for my son’s WDW Railroad room. Hopefully I’ll get it done before he outgrows trains! 😉

Always a sucker for books but that Alice pocket watch necklace is really cool. I could go for that.
